Autumn is a season that brings about change, and what better way to embrace it than by incorporating the latest interior colours into your home décor.  This year's autumn trends are all about warm and cosy hues that evoke feelings of comfort, tranquility, and relaxation.  Whether you're looking to revamp your living room, bedroom, or kitchen, these trending interior colours are sure to add a touch of elegance and charm to any space.  According to the most recent 2023 colour of the year announcement, soft, earthy shades of pink and clay is what your home will be needing this season.

However, we don’t all have time for a full renovation.  A coat of paint is the simplest and least expensive way to give your home an instant facelift.  The stylists at MyPad Property Styling have put together a few cost-effective tips to help with embracing an earthly palette this season.

Styling tips:

  1. If you wanted to stay clear of painting your walls and ceilings, try elevating your colour scheme by choosing furniture pieces such as side tables, vases, and coffee tables.
  2. Throw in cushions and throws to your couch in similar earthly tones to give the space a cosy vibe.
  3. If you wanted to go with the full paint job start with walls and ceilings, choose two earthy warm colours, and paint them from floor to ceiling. This helps to warm up the space in preparation for the upcoming cooler months.
  4. It is always a good idea to experiment with different colours before making a final decision.  Dulux provides colour stickers and sample pots, allowing customers to experiment with different colours to see what works best for their interior before investing in expensive paint.

Most importantly have fun trying out new colours and experimenting with your home décor.  If you need more help bringing your vision to life contact our Style to Live team on hello@mypadpropertystyling.com.au.
